HNT # 6

When I work out and/or do cardio I have a little mp3 player going at all times. I love it because I have a ton of tunes and I never know what’s coming up. Last week I was running and I almost moved it forward a song because there was a few seconds of silence. It turned out to be the intro of the song “Burn” by the Cure which was on the soundtrack to the movie The Crow. I forgot it was even on there and haven’t heard that tune in a long time. Killer song-moody, atmospheric and dark. I loved that movie even though the original graphic novel was way better. For those of you who have never seen it, this week's pic is a VERY rough recreation of the eye makeup used in the story. So here’s my tribute to a great song and movie and also my breakdown into the 100 things about me list! Some of it is really stream of consciousness! Happy HNT all!

100 THINGS ABOUT ME
#1: I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan
#2: Every time I say that the next question is if I speak Japanese
#3: No I don’t
#4: I will go back to Japan before I die. Then I’d like to live my old man years out in the Irish countryside
#5: I’m a bass player/singer
#6: I have two wonderful children
#7: While I love them both I have a very special connection with my daughter. We’re both second children, and she reminds me of me so much it’s frightening

#9: There have been times since then I’ve thought what if I did and this is all a dream

#11: I lost my father when I was 15

#13: About my daughter….I feel sorry for her first boyfriend

#28: While I play in a relatively popular cover band that performs in front of a lot of beautiful women on a regular basis, I’ve never “had a groupie” and wouldn’t be into it at all

#30: I couldn’t deal with a sexually frigid or unadventurous partner
#31: I think of sex as art, not mechanics

#37: I became extremely conservative politically in my late 20’s and now find myself rapidly running away from the Republican Party in America. They spent 6 years doing the opposite of what they said they would
#38: My musical tastes run such a wide gamut that most non-musicians can’t grasp it.
#39: I can see myself in a country band in the future

#43: I think one of the great simple pleasures in life is going to a movie by myself
#44: My favorite memory of my father is him lifting me up to hug me close to him while I was crying once
#45: It couldn’t have been easy…I wasn’t all that young as I remember and I was always bigger than him
#46: I was crying because my brother was going to see a movie about disco roller-skating and I wasn’t allowed to go

#48: I’m becoming militantly anti-homophobic the older I get
#49: Whose fucking business is it? Worry about yourself before you take time and effort to write a snappy little sign saying God hates fags. I’m sure he’s just totally cool with you and everything you’ve done right?
#50: If you have written up one of those signs and marched, you’re either gay yourself and fighting it, or you haven’t gotten laid in years
#51: Everyone has a list of five celebrities they can sleep with without consequence…in no particular order: Neve Campbell, Denise Richards, Kirsten Dunst, Rachel McAdams and Beyonce so I could take her wallet and never call her again (see # 71)

#53: My guitar player is French and I bust on France constantly but I love French dip sandwiches

#55: That movie is 1 hour, 45 minutes long?....wow…interesting…
#56: Watching my children being born is my most precious memory

If I EVER see that fucker again he better pray he has a terminal illness because that’s the only thing that would stop me from beating his ass.
